Executive Leadership Perspective: Paul Adeogun, Chief Operating Officer (COO) for AdventHealth's Florida healthcare system, met with the youth to share executive insights on hospital administration, strategic decision-making, and leadership values.
Healthcare Role Models: Industry experts provided grounded perspectives on their daily responsibilities, academic backgrounds, and career opportunities in medicine and bioengineering.
At Renacer Foundation, we view learning as a dynamic force that extends far beyond traditional classrooms. As a fundamental component of our Youth Character Development track within the Summer Youth Program, we organized a series of strategic field trips designed to connect our young participants with innovation, leadership, and real-world career paths.
Through our strong partnerships with key allies such as CareerSource Central Florida and the Hispanic Access Foundation, our students explored state-of-the-art facilities in healthcare, technology, higher education, and space exploration, engaging directly with professionals who are actively shaping our region.

1. Clinical Immersion and Healthcare Leadership at AdventHealth
Our experiential learning route began at AdventHealth, where students gained an inside look at the complex clinical, operational, and logistical systems powering a top-tier healthcare network.
Reflective Welcome and Multidisciplinary Tour: Following an opening welcome and reflection session, participants toured critical operational areas, including the Laboratory, Sterile Processing Department (SPD), Biomedicine, Rehabilitation, Diagnostic Imaging, and Endoscopy.

2. Comprehensive Health, Management, and Medical Innovation at Bliss Health
Our next stop was Bliss Health (@blisscares) to offer our cohort an immersive day focused on healthcare from both a holistic and business management perspective.
Physical, Mental, and Reproductive Wellness: Participants engaged in discussions regarding the vital importance of mental health, physical well-being, and sexual and reproductive health.
Healthcare Administration and Technology: Beyond patient care, students explored the business side of medicine—learning about healthcare administration, Project Management, budgeting, and biomedical engineering—and even tested advanced EMS training equipment.

3. Professional Growth, Habits, and Personal Branding at Florida Blue
Through a collaborative effort between Florida Blue, Renacer Foundation, and the Hispanic Access Foundation, we hosted a career guidance and professional development session at Florida Blue’s facilities.
Executive Panel and Mentorship: An interactive Q&A session was held, highlighting various fields of specialization within a large organization like Florida Blue.
Key Educational Workshops: The visit featured two core professional development sessions: Habit Design and Life Goal Setting and Building and Projecting Your Personal Brand for the Job Market.

4. Innovation, Creativity, and Simulation at Full Sail University
Our youth also visited the Full Sail University campus to explore the intersection of art, technology, and applied science.
Campus Tour and Learning Environments: Students explored university spaces connected to digital technology, creative industries, and future-oriented career fields.
Academic Guest Presentation: Dr. Shawn Stafford led an engaging lecture sharing his expertise in psychology, human factors, modeling and simulation, and anthropology, inspiring youth to connect their current studies with higher education opportunities.

5. STEM Frontiers and Space Exploration at Blue Origin
The field trip series concluded with a visit to Blue Origin, where participants got a firsthand look at cutting-edge aerospace technology and engineering.
Participants observed firsthand the technological breakthroughs driving the future of commercial space flight.
An inspiring environment was cultivated to break conceptual barriers and show emerging generations that careers in STEM and aerospace engineering are fully accessible to them.

Turning Aspirations into Real Futures
Each of these field trips tangibly reinforced the pillars of character, discipline, work ethic, and professional vision championed by our Summer Youth Program. By stepping out of the classroom and immersing themselves directly in real-world professional environments, our students did not merely acquire theoretical knowledge; they expanded their life expectations. They witnessed firsthand that careers in medicine, technology, corporate management, digital arts, and aerospace exploration are not abstract concepts, but concrete, attainable pathways for their futures.
At Renacer Foundation, we firmly believe that youth empowerment occurs when technical education meets real-world inspiration. We extend our deepest gratitude to CareerSource Central Florida, the Hispanic Access Foundation, and all of our host institutions for co-leading this comprehensive initiative and providing our youth with the tools, professional networks, and confidence required to shape their own success and serve as the future leaders of our community.
