2021

03/2021: Renacer Foundation was born in Chicago, Illinois, founded by Padre Hoower Cajicá.

06/2021: Operations relocated to Orlando, Florida.

07/23/2021: Incorporated as a Florida 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

2021: "Vacúnate con Fe" launched as a COVID-19 vaccination campaign in collaboration with local clergy and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Central Florida, connecting Renacer Foundation to the broader Communities RISE Together vaccine equity initiative supporting community-based vaccination efforts in Black, Latinx, immigrant, and low-income communities across more than 220 counties in 27 states.

2022

02/03/2022: Black History Month Kickoff Community Ribbon Cutting at Orlando City Hall (Orange County), with RISE, MCN, Community Equity Project, Hispanic Federation, and Coalition of 100 Black Women Central Florida.

02/25/2022: Black History Month Public Service Recognition Certificate received from the Coalition of 100 Black Women Central Florida at Orlando City Hall (Orange County), recognized for testing and health education during the COVID-19 Omicron wave.

2022: Feria del Adulto Mayor was organized in the Azalea Park (Orange County) area.

06/07/2023: Renacer Foundation launched its first hurricane digital preparedness kit campaign ("Preparemos el Kit de Huracanes / Let's Get Ready for the Hurricane Kit"), providing bilingual guidance on emergency kits, evacuation planning, and staying informed throughout hurricane season.

06/16/2023: 118th United States Congress recognition during National Immigrant Heritage Month, entered into the Congressional Record by Representative Darren Soto (Vol. 169 No. 106, Extensions of Remarks E581 and E582).

06/19/2023: First Renacer Foundation Juneteenth Celebration, hosted by the Coalition of 100 Black Women, Mil Mujeres Legal Services, Beatriz Terrassa Florida Homes, and a local Orlando church, featuring a sharing of dreams fulfilled and goals yet to be fulfilled.

06/26/2023: Immigrant Heritage Event during National Immigrant Heritage Month, approximately 150 people gathered to honor 32 distinguished immigrants and five community-based organizations, including Renacer Foundation. U.S. Representatives Maxwell Frost (FL District 9) and Darren Soto (FL District 10) delivered remarks. Father Hoower Cajicá was honored as one of the 32 distinguished immigrants. Other honored organizations included the Coalition of 100 Black Women, the Central Florida Black Nurses Association, and CareerSource Central Florida.

06/26/2023: Wake Forest University Faith Coordinating Center (Gilead Sciences COMPASS Initiative) Notice of Award received, HIV Awareness in Faith Community grant relationship established.

07/12/2023: Renacer Foundation launched its first First-Time Homebuyers Program through a Bitácora live stream with a local realtor, introducing the Heroes program for first-time homebuyers.

07/22/2023: Renacer Foundation contributed to the Englewood Neighborhood Center for Families Family Engagement Resource Expo, hosted by 4C / Community Coordinated Care for Children, Orange County, Florida.

2023: Joint work with the Hispanic Federation and the National Institutes of Health on the "Juntos Sí Podemos" vaccination campaign.

08/24/2023: "La Cena" Faith HIV/AIDS Awareness Day bilingual event hosted at a local church in Azalea Park (Orange County), with a local HIV prevention clinic, Pineapple Healthcare, Renacer Foundation, and QLatinx, community gathering focused on prevention, treatment, and ending HIV stigma through faith.

09/06/2023: Second "Nicho Ecológico" event hosted at the Englewood Neighborhood Center for Families, Orlando (Orange County), hurricane preparedness for climate change response, with Poder Latinx, Hispanic Federation, Observatorio Ambiental Hispano, NOAA National Weather Service, Sierra Club, American Red Cross, a local Orlando church, and Commissioner Tony Ortiz (City of Orlando District 2).

10/28/2023: Vendor Agreement executed via DocuSign with the Senior Resource Alliance (The Area Agency on Aging of Central Florida, Inc.); the relationship between the Senior Resource Alliance and Renacer Foundation was officially established to serve local-area seniors.

11/01/2023: Screening of "La Ciénaga entre el Mar y la Tierra," Colombian feature film recognized as an Official Selection at the Sundance Film Festival (World Cinema Audience Award Dramatic; World Cinema Acting Award Dramatic), portraying resilience and human dignity in the face of illness; followed by a community mental health conversation, with the film's director and lead actress present in person at the screening.

11/2023 – 02/2024: Enhanced Home Care for the Elderly (EHCE) campaign delivered with the Senior Resource Alliance, 700 seniors served with $14 million in direct aid across Orange County, including the Azalea Park, Tangelo Park, Eatonville, Parramore, and Washington Shores neighborhoods (all in Orange County).

11/16/2023: "Faith in Action, Strengthening Our Community" event at AdventHealth East Orlando (Orange County); relationship with AdventHealth officially established at this event.

11/2023: Thanksgiving distributions in joint work with the Orlando Magic, Florida Blue, and a local Orlando church.

12/01/2023: "Jornada de Oración Unidos en la Fe" (Day of Prayer United in Faith) ecumenical service held in commemoration of World AIDS Day, broadcast live, calling for the elimination of HIV stigma and for the health and well-being of all those affected. Christian community leaders united across denominations included Padre José Rodríguez, David Maldonado, Wildre Ortega, Andrés Romero, and Hoower Cajicá. (#PositivoParaVivir)

12/02/2023: Closing ceremony of "Mujeres Colombianas Transformando el Mundo" women's leadership program held at Icon Park, Orlando (Orange County).

12/07/2023: La Noche de Velitas held at a local church in Azalea Park (Orange County), Orlando; Renacer presents $15,000 to the local church for hunger relief.

12/22/2023: Posada Renacer Foundation at a local Orlando (Orange County) church.

2023: Renacer Foundation invited to present national vaccination results to Communities RISE Together (a Public Health Institute initiative supporting community-based vaccination efforts in Black, Latinx, Asian-American/Pacific-Islander, Native-American, rural, immigrant/migrant, and low-income older adult populations across more than 220 counties in 27 states), in partnership with the Coalition of 100 Black Women Central Florida.

2023: "Mujeres Colombianas Transformando el Mundo" women's leadership program launched with the Consulate of Colombia in Orlando (Orange County).

02/12/2024 – 02/16/2024: Renacer Foundation participated in and completed the Hispanic Federation Non-Profit Boot Camp (5-day intensive at Hispanic Federation Florida & Southeast).

02/25/2024: Renacer Foundation invited Hispanic children and families to a night at the performing arts at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, attending a concert by the "You, El Sistema Orlando" youth orchestra and the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra. Renacer Foundation hosted a private reception for the children and families, with U.S. Congressman Maxwell Frost (FL District 9) as guest speaker. 49 Hispanic child musicians and their parents participated (102 people total).

2024: Cocina de Todos campaign produced with the University of Florida Center for Thriving Communities, culturally competent recipes using food pantry products. Featured recipes (such as Estofado de Carne) shared on Renacer Foundation social channels with collaborators 904Ward, Florida Health Justice, and the Center for Thriving Communities.

2024: Civic Engagement Project "La Voz de Mi Gente" delivered with the Hispanic Federation, voter registration, and civic education.

04/08/2024: Feria de Servicios, Comunidad y Salud 2024 hosted at the Consulate of Colombia in Orlando (Orange County).

04/16/2024: Participated in the First LatAm Trade Show Reception at the Consulate of Mexico in Orlando (Orange County).

04/27/2024: Tercera Feria Día del Niño (Evento Campesinos) held in Pierson (Volusia County).

05/18/2024: Día de la Familia Orlando hosted by Renacer Foundation, with family activities including a singing contest, children's games, and raffles. At this event, Renacer Foundation received a Challenge Coin from Secretary Michelle Branham of the Florida Department of Elder Affairs. The Challenge Coin is a formal token of recognition presented by Florida state agency leadership in acknowledgment of distinguished service to Florida communities, in this case for Renacer Foundation's work supporting older adults.

05/26/2024: Día de la Familia, an Illinois community event hosted at a local church in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.

06/10/2024 – 07/03/2024: Summer Youth Camp delivered with CareerSource Central Florida; 50 children served. The camp included a youth orchestra component sponsored by the Renacer Foundation, and breakfast and lunch were provided daily as part of summer hunger relief.

09/06/2024: "Preparación efectiva ante huracanes: Respondiendo al cambio climático" event hosted at the Englewood Neighborhood Center for Families, with Poder Latinx, a local Orlando church, Observatorio Ambiental Hispano, Sierra Club, American Red Cross, Hispanic Federation, and Commissioner Tony Ortiz (City of Orlando District 2).

09/28/2024: Hispanic Heritage Festival co-hosted at a local church in Azalea Park (Orange County), Orlando, celebrating local Hispanic cultures with arts, music, and food.

10/09/2024: Hurricane Milton made landfall at Siesta Key. Renacer Foundation partnered with local leaders, including U.S. Representative Maxwell Frost, to coordinate local resources and mass communication for the Azalea Park (Orange County) community across a combined 1.5 million-follower network. Renacer Foundation also worked with Boricuas de Corazón to push evacuation messaging for Limited-English Proficient populations along Florida's Gulf Coast.

10/15/2024: Coordinated aid distribution tracking began for the Hurricane Milton response, including hot meal preparation (paella de carnes) and food distribution at a local church in Azalea Park (Orange County), Orlando, with Third Wave Volunteers, Louis Fonseca Productions, Tiger Team, Kiko Hospitality Group, El Rey de la Paella, Chef Ramoncito, Ricky's Meats, and Corpus Care.

10/24/2024: Aid distribution event delivered in the Wimauma (Hillsborough County) community, including a culturally competent food pantry for the Maya community.

10/30/2024: Renacer Foundation supported and sponsored the Fall Concert with the "You, El Sistema Orlando" youth orchestra; Renacer Foundation participated as event sponsor.

09/05/2025: City of Orlando proclaimed Community Forest of Faith Day, signed by Mayor Buddy Dyer and Commissioner Tony Ortiz (District 2). Florida State Representative Johanna López (District 43) presented a tribute the same day honoring the Bosque Comunitario de Fe project (a faith, science, and civic collaboration of Renacer Foundation, Calao Corp, Corpus Care, Observatorio Ambiental Hispano, and the Hispanic Access Foundation), recognizing the project's tree planting work and contributions to community health, mental well-being, and economic opportunity.

07/2025: Sustainability partnership formed with the University of Central Florida Rosen College of Hospitality Management; through this partnership, furniture diverted from landfill was donated to multiple homes and nonprofits, including Renacer Foundation.

04/2026: Renacer Foundation team participated in Management Training organized by CareerSource Central Florida, the International Center for Addiction & Recovery Education (ICARE), and SHRM Greater Orlando, held at Seminole State College, focused on substance abuse prevention in the workplace and strengthening healthy work environments.; ICARE led the activity.

04/18/2026: Health & STEM Talks: "The Cognitive Power of Creativity, How Music and Art Support Mental Health," with Dr. Melonie Sexton (Valencia College) and the Hispanic Access Foundation.

04/22/2026: "Plantando Bienestar: Aire Limpio y Comunidad Saludable" / "Planting for Life: Clean Air, Stronger Communities" event delivered in conmemoration of Earth Day in the East Orlando (Orange County) community, community-open activity to plant, learn, and strengthen community. Part of the "Bosque Comunitario de la Fe" project, an urban ecological corridor in Central Florida supported by an initiative of a local Orlando church and the Hispanic Access Foundation, together with Renacer Foundation and Corpus Care. Hosted with Bliss Health.

04/25/2026: ReVive EcoHealth 2026 community event at Union Park (Orange County), free services in nutrition, mental health, education, and the environment, including tree planting and a Health & STEM Talk.
