Pathways to Science: Empowering Leaders in STEM

At Renacer Foundation, our mission is to provide our community with the necessary tools to improve their quality of life. We firmly believe that the future of our families is built today through education and access to opportunities that once seemed out of reach.

That is why we are proud to lead alongside Hispanic Access Foundation the Pathways to Science / Senderos a la Ciencia program in Central Florida. This free and bilingual (English and Spanish) initiative is designed for teenagers and their caregivers to explore high-demand careers in Health, Science, and STEM.

A Family-Centered Learning Experience

Unlike traditional academic settings, Pathways to Science is designed so the community can participate without barriers. We don't just aim to inspire youth; we involve their caregivers so that, as a family, they can navigate the routes to academic and professional success.

What makes this program special?

• Bilingual Learning: Tailored specifically for Hispanic youth and their families.

• College Guidance: Concrete tools and orientation on university paths focused on health and STEM research.

The Value of Mentorship and Consistency One of the fundamental pillars of Pathways to Science is our virtual mentorship program. It is not just about attending a single workshop; the key to success lies in registration and, above all, maintaining consistency in our virtual meetings. This ongoing support allows high school students to receive personalized guidance in choosing their career and university, while strategically exploring scholarship opportunities. Consistency in these sessions is what transforms scientific curiosity into a solid professional life plan.

Our 2026 Vision: Expanding Access and Experience

Building on the success of 2025, Pathways to Science is projected to grow this year with clear goals:

• 13 Interactive Workshops led by community professionals in health and STEM.

• 3 to 5 Educational Field Trips for youth to experience science in action.

• Expanded Access to career exploration opportunities for families across Orlando and Kissimmee.

Reliving "Visible Science" To kick off 2026 with energy, we held a special session titled "Visible Science" (Ciencia Visible) this past January 31st. It was an exciting reunion where we gathered the youth and families who participated in the program throughout 2025. This event served not only to reaffirm the knowledge gained but also to strengthen the bonds of our emerging scientific community and motivate new participants to take their first step on this path of discovery.

Save the Date: April 18th Our commitment to education continues! On April 18th, we will follow up our conference cycle with a session led by an expert neuropsychologist. In this space, we will explore the intersection between science and mental well-being, a highly relevant field in today's world. We invite the entire community to participate actively; your presence and questions are what enrich these dialogues and open doors for our youth.
