On July 2, Renacer Foundation celebrated the completion of its Summer Youth Program with a special event recognizing the students work, progress, and accomplishments throughout the summer.
Students, families, mentors, partners, and invited guests came together for the final program activities. Students presented their final projects, participated in educational sessions with guest speakers, and received certificates recognizing the completion of the program.
The event brought together several areas that were central to the students summer experience, including project development, civic education, college preparation, and exposure to professional opportunities.

Participants Present Their Final Projects
One of the main moments of the closing event was the presentation of the students final projects.
Participants had the opportunity to present their work and demonstrate how they applied knowledge and skills developed during the Summer Youth Program. The presentations required students to organize their ideas, communicate their work, and complete projects developed throughout the program.
The final presentations also provided an opportunity for families, facilitators, mentors, and guests to see the results of the students’ work and recognize the effort they dedicated to completing their projects.

Civic Education With The LIBRE Initiative
The LIBRE Initiative participated in the closing event with a civic education session focused on voting and the responsibilities associated with participating in the electoral process.
Students received information about the importance of understanding how voting works, learning about the electoral process, and becoming familiar with the responsibilities that come with voting eligibility.
The session provided practical civic education for students as they prepare for adulthood and future participation in elections.

Preparing Students for Higher Education
Jennifer De Salvo Haddad, Director of UCF Global, joined the event to speak with students about higher education and college preparation.
Her presentation encouraged students to begin thinking about their academic goals and the steps they can take to prepare for education after high school.
The conversation emphasized the importance of planning ahead, exploring college opportunities, and continuing to build the academic preparation necessary to pursue future goals.
For students participating in the Summer Youth Program, the session provided an opportunity to hear directly from a higher education professional and consider how decisions made during high school can support their future educational plans.

Professional Guidance and Public Service
Noah Welchman, Field Representative from Congressman Mills Office, also participated in the programs closing event and shared information and professional guidance with the students.
His participation provided another perspective on professional opportunities and gave students an opportunity to learn about work within a congressional office and public service.
Interactions with professionals throughout the program allowed students to learn about different career environments and consider a broader range of options as they begin planning their educational and professional futures.
Recognizing Student Achievement
The celebration concluded with the presentation of certificates to the participating students.
The ceremony recognized the time, effort, and dedication students invested throughout the Summer Youth Program. Families, mentors, facilitators, and guests joined them in celebrating the completion of several weeks of learning and project development.
Receiving their certificates marked an important milestone for the students and recognized the work they completed during the summer.

A Summer Focused on Learning and Preparation
The July 2 celebration marked the conclusion of a Summer Youth Program centered on providing students with opportunities to learn, develop projects, receive civic education, explore higher education, and hear directly from professionals.
Renacer Foundation thanks the students, families, mentors, facilitators, invited speakers, and everyone who contributed to the program and its closing celebration.
Special thanks to CareerSource Central Florida for its support and participation throughout the program.
The final event celebrated what the students accomplished during the summer while encouraging them to continue applying what they learned as they move forward with their academic and professional goals.
