Mental Wellness: Self-Care and Self-Esteem
In addition to food assistance, participants had an opportunity to attend a mental wellness session led by Father Hoower.
The session focused on self-care and self-esteem, providing participants with a space to reflect on the importance of taking care of their personal well-being and recognizing their own value.
Self-care can include simple daily practices that allow people to dedicate time to their physical and emotional well-being. The conversation also addressed self-esteem and the importance of developing healthy ways to recognize personal strengths and maintain a positive relationship with oneself.
Including this type of educational activity during the Food Pantry provides families with practical information they can take with them beyond the event
The September Food Pantry returned to Azalea Park for another day of food assistance, education, and support for local families.
During the event, 123 families received food assistance, benefiting more than 520 people. Volunteers, collaborators, and participating organizations worked together throughout the day to organize and distribute food and support the families attending the pantry.
The event also included a mental wellness educational session focused on self-care and self-esteem, led by Father Hoower.
More Than 520 People Received Food Assistance
Food assistance remained at the center of the September event.
A total of 123 families received food, representing more than 520 people reached during the day.
Monthly Food Pantry events continue to provide families in Azalea Park with access to food while also creating opportunities to share useful information and connect participants with additional activities taking place in the community.
Behind each distribution is the work of volunteers and collaborators who help organize food, prepare the space, assist families, and complete the many tasks required to carry out the event.
Proyecto Bosque Comunitario de la Fe Continues Its Work in Azalea Park
Proyecto Bosque Comunitario de la Fe also participated in the September Food Pantry, continuing its presence and activities in Azalea Park.
The project uses community events as opportunities to connect with residents, share information about its activities, and continue outreach related to upcoming initiatives in the area.
Its participation complements the broader work taking place during the Food Pantry by connecting residents with educational opportunities and information about activities available in their community.
A Monthly Effort Made Possible by Volunteers
Each Food Pantry requires preparation, organization, and the participation of people willing to contribute their time and effort.
Renacer Foundation thanks the volunteers, collaborators, and everyone who supported the September event and helped make it possible to provide food assistance to 123 families and more than 520 people.
The September Food Pantry once again demonstrated how food assistance can be combined with practical education and additional resources to support families in Azalea Park.
